What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Implement a patient-centric model involving physicians, clinics, and hospitals
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Centers of Excellence, academic institutions, and health systems
  • Provide education and support to healthcare providers advocating for rare disease patients
  • Execute strategic business and account plans based on local market conditions
  • Collaborate with patient advocacy groups to enhance community education and awareness
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • BS/BA degree AND 8+ years of sales experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, including 5+ years calling on prescribers of specialized products
  • Proven launch experience in complex and competitive environments
  • Demonstrated sales performance with quantifiable accomplishments in specialty pharmaceutical or biotech markets
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory environments and market access fundamentals
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record as frequent travel is required
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Master's degree and 6+ years or PhD with 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in rare diseases and prior experience with Key Accounts and academic institutions
  • Previous start-up or market development experience
  • Endocrine experience and knowledge of specialty pharmacy distribution
  • Proven ability to navigate complex healthcare accounts
