Pay range: $19.80 - $25.75 / hour

Shifts: full-time AM

Schedules: 8 a.m.

-5 p.m.

Our nationally ranked comprehensive center provides everything from preventive and routine eye care to 24/7 emergency treatment of eye trauma at the nation’s only freestanding Level 1 Ocular Trauma Center. Supervises daily activities of dispensary and departmental staff involved in assisting patients in the selection, ordering and dispensing of frames and contact lenses. Fabricates eyewear according to prescriptions and established parameters. Provides patient education in proper eye care and use of lenses. Instructs students and staff in the concepts of opticianry and ophthalmic dispensing. Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field by reading appropriate publications and attending related conferences and seminars.

Maintains appropriate supply and equipment levels. Responds to the unique needs of all patients' ages newborn through geriatric.

Required: High School diploma or GED and two (2) years of related experience. None required.
