Position

We are in search of a qualified Financial Specialist/Business Office Manager to join our team of dedicated professionals.

Responsibilities

The selected applicant will perform and/or oversee the successful and timely completion of all business and financial functions within the established parameters, guidelines, state and federal regulations, and as needed to achieve the financial goals of the facility. Promote an environment that provides optimal efficiencies and superior quality of the business office.

Qualifications
  • AS degree in Accounting, Finance or Healthcare Management required, BS preferred
  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in MS Excel, and ability to use other MS Office products.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of major accounting software packages for both general ledger and statutory accounting.
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Healthcare billing and collection experience with nursing home receivable which includes Medicaid and Medicare Part A & B, HMOs preferred.
  • Experience with Medicaid Applications preferred
  • Strong organization skills including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to quickly identify problems and find effective solutions
  • Ability to work and produce results under pressure
  • Fundamental knowledge of accounting practices and agency reimbursement programs preferred
  • Must speak, read, write, and understand English
