Foster Care Case Manager
Alabama Clinical Schools, a behavioral healthcare provider in the Birmingham area, offers intensive residential treatment for males ages 9‑18 and therapeutic foster care for all ages. Our RISE and Specialized Therapeutic Foster Care programs for boys are the only projects of their kind in Alabama. Our mission is to enrich the lives of at‑risk youth and their families by delivering high‑quality behavioral and educational services and fostering a safe transition to the community.
Responsibilities- Lead the treatment team as Foster Care Case Manager for each youth.
- Initiate and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Provide support and consultation to foster parents, families and other team members.
- Coordinate and link children and families with needed agencies or community services.
- Act as the primary advocate for each child and family throughout the treatment process.

- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or a related mental health field from an accredited university.
- Two years of foster care experience strongly preferred.
- LBSW preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to maintain effective working relationships both intra- and inter‑departmentally.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with a clean and concise style.
- Successful drug screen and background check required, including criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check.
