Position Overview
Pay range: $63,875.00 - $ / year
Shifts: full-time am

Job DescriptionWorks specifically with a single department, unit or school. Has thorough understanding of department and all applications used therein. Responsible for analysis, purchase and installation of micro hardware and software for the department. May be responsible for the local area network. Supports departmental user problems. Confers with users to help determine hardware and software configuration most appropriate for departmental needs and objectives.
Typically handles direct programming support and management of departmental systems. Ensures that all end users are trained on written and purchases software. Performs documentation of systems. Usually provides link between users and The University Computer Center or Health Information Systems. Supervises departmental information systems staff. May train, delegate and/or oversee the work of junior Information Systems Specialists.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field and seven (7) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement. None required.
