Responsibilities- < information into electronic systems, file documents, and maintain the physical and digital filing system.
- Ensure completeness, accuracy, and quality of medical documentation.
- Handle requests for medical information from authorized parties while adhering to HIPAA and privacy regulations.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, answer phones, and relay messages related to medical records.
- Create, update, and organize inmate medical records, including assembling and disassembling files.
- Perform routine clerical tasks and other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, with a minimum typing speed of 45 WPM.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; adaptable to stressful environments with non‑pristine conditions.
- Previous experience preferred.
