Position: Mental Health Associate-1st Shift (8am-4pm)

Responsibilities

He/she provides direct care to residents with psychiatric disorders to ensure safety and well‑being. MHA’s have the primary responsibility for ensuring resident safety on the unit using a therapeutic approach to tasks including assistance with daily activities, facilitation of groups and other duties as assigned by Group Leader, Assistant Group Leader, or Shift Supervisor.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in psychology, social work, education, criminal justice, or related mental health field preferred but not required.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong documentation skills. Able to monitor residents safely and perform physical management techniques and crisis intervention.
  • Experience in a residential mental/behavioral health setting strongly preferred.
  • Must be 19 years or older and have successful drug screen and background check (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check).
