Overview
General Summary of Duties:
To schedule all new and returning patients. Scheduling will include patients in the clinic as well as those on the telephone.
Supervision and reporting is from the department manager.
Typical Physical DemandsInvolves minimal physical requirements, sedentary working conditions, and normal visual acuity and hearing.
Typical Working ConditionsWork in a clinical office environment with frequent telephone contact from patients.
Skills and AbilitiesMust be able to communicate effectively in a very professional and courteous manner, ability to work in stressful situations, excellent organizational skills and a professional attitude.
Principal Duties- Books, and reschedules new/established patient appointments for all sports medicine physicians based on established templates.
- Possesses a keen ability to communicate with patients and process them into the system in an expeditious manner.
- Strong leadership ability with a significant emphasis on interpersonal skills with prospective patients and with co-workers.
- Coordinates additions to daily schedules.
- Answers questions regarding patient appointments.
- Actively participate in efforts to improve total office performance.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Adheres to policies and procedures.
- Any function deemed necessary and appropriate by management.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:
High School Graduate or equivalent.
