Overview
Position Overview:
To understand the overall process in the assigned department and work with quality improvement initiatives. Functions as part of the team that provides services and assists with advanced endoscopy procedures requiring knowledge and understanding of specialized techniques and equipment. To clean, assemble and sterilize instrument sets and assemble and organize case carts for surgery. To operate all sterilization equipment, stock supplies and perform biological testing of sterilizers.

Responsibilities- To understand the overall process in the assigned department and work with quality improvement initiatives.
- Functions as part of the team that provides services and assists with advanced endoscopy procedures requiring knowledge and understanding of specialized techniques and equipment.
- To clean, assemble and sterilize instrument sets and assemble and organize case carts for surgery.
- To operate all sterilization equipment, stock supplies and perform biological testing of sterilizers.
- High School Diploma or GED and one (1) year of sterile supply or patient care experience required.
- Certified as a Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER) within two (2) years of hire date required.
- Certified with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within three (3) to six (6) months of hire date required.
