Patient Service Coordinator I (Temporary)
Position Summary The Patient Service Coordinator I (Temporary) serves as a key point of contact for patients, providing front‑line administrative and customer service support in a clinical setting. This role supports daily clinic operations by assisting with patient registration, scheduling, and coordination of services while ensuring a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and assist patients in person and by phone in a professional and courteous manner
- Schedule patient appointments and manage clinic calendars
- Complete patient registration and verify demographic, insurance, and appointment information
- Accurately enter and update patient information in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Respond to patient inquiries and route concerns appropriately
- Support clinic workflows in a fast‑paced, patient‑facing environment
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and document management
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management abilities
- Ability to multitask and adapt quickly in a busy clinical environment
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
Hourly Rate: $15–$18. High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of office/clerical experience in customer service, call center, physician office, or other clinical environment required. Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills and excellent customer service and communication skills required.
Preferred Qualifications- Prior experience in a healthcare, clinical, or medical office setting
- Experience with patient scheduling and registration
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
