WAWC Healthcare, a free and sliding‑scale full spectrum reproductive and sexual health clinic, is seeking an experienced, dependable, professional Certified Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to assist in a new satellite clinic in Birmingham, Alabama. In this part‑time, 24‑hour a week position, you will be the friendly point of contact for all patients, responsible for efficiently assisting the Medical Provider by performing a range of clinical and administrative tasks.

• Collect blood and specimen samples from patients and label all collected samples accurately for tests.
• Enter patient data into an electronic medical record (EMR).
• Protect patient privacy rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
• Explain procedures and treatments that will be performed.
• Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment after use.
• Maintain frequent communication with the Laboratory and the Tuscaloosa office.

• High School/GED
• Phlebotomy or CMA certification required
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Phlebotomist
• CPR / BLS Certification
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical records
• Spanish a plus

Schedule: 8 am – 4 pm, Monday – Wednesday

Pay: $25 per hour
