The MRI Technician will deploy worldwide within 72 hours of notification to observe MRI scans at designated facilities, provide protocol compliance via USB, and ensure imaging delivery to in-country technicians. This rapid‑deployment team supports John Hopkins research efforts on behalf of the U.S. Department of State.
Key Responsibilities- Travel internationally within 72 hours of notification.
- Conduct MRI scans in accordance with the protocol.
- Observe local MRI technicians perform procedures.
- Download images, safeguard data, and deliver to client.
- Maintain supplies and equipment through travel.
- Submit travel vouchers within 5 days of return.
- Comply with organizational education requirements for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.
- Undertake additional duties as required.
- Graduate of an accredited MRI technician program or certificate.
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiological Technicians.
- Ability to perform BLS interventions in accordance with guidelines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in MRI technology.
- Proficiency with GE, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba, and Canon MRI devices.
- Experience with MRI with contrast.
- Remote setting experience preferred.
- Experience placing IVPs preferred.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident with valid passport.
- Ability to travel internationally within 72 hours of notification.
Pay range may vary based on experience and market data. Compensation: $60–$65 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and an annual bonus. International SOS complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
