• Perform diagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing quality images for interpretation.
• Set up and adjust all equipment and manually maneuver transducers to perform exams.
• Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures.
• Perform routine and complex studies and assist in a variety of cardiac and/or vascular imaging procedures.
• Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology and equipment limitations.
• Ensure equipment is properly functioning; report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel and lock/tag out equipment if appropriate.
• Ensure prompt submission of all high‑quality images and documents to PACS, including correct lead markers and patient data/history.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, orderly department including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in the department.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Cardiographic sonographer credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. A Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or a Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) issued by CCI is accepted.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to or within 12 months (1 year) of hire date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to or within 12 months (1 year) of hire date.
  • Vascular Technologist (VT) credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date.
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 months (1 year) of hire date.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 2 years of experience OR an Associate’s degree required. Graduate of an accredited sonography program preferred.
