Job DescriptionGeneral Responsibilities:
Working a flexible schedule of 10-12 hours including weekends, to evaluate, analyze and classify ictal, interictal and paroxysmal events from EEG/video data. To recognize physiological and nonphysiological artifacts. To write detailed description of EEG patterns, seizure semiology, ictal and interictal abnormalities and select representative EEG samples. To act as a physician extender in collaboration with the supervising physician and other health care staff.
To apply extensive knowledge in neuroanesthesia and its application to neuromonitoring. To demonstrate knowledge of all aspects of invasive implants preoperatively, intraoperatively and postoperatively including, but not limited to, electrode setup, montage creation/verification, troubleshooting, hook-up and discontinuation and simulation for cortical mapping.
Duties & Responsibilities
Registered Electroencephalogic Technologist (R. EEG T.) with Certification for Long Term Monitoring (CLTM) by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalogic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) and five (5) years of experience as an ABRET registered or registry eligible Electroencephalogic Technologist (EEGT) with post CLTM experience in Long Term Monitoring (LTM) in the ambulatory, EMU and/or critical care setting required. Neuro Analyst Certification for Long Term Monitoring (NA-CLTM) by ABRET preferred.
Licenses / Certifications / Registrations Currently credentialed as an Electroencephalographic (EEG) Technologist (R. EEG T.) and Long Term Monitoring (CLTM) by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) required.
