Interim Director of FP&A
Birmingham, AL
• Consulting Engagement (6 months)
We’re partnering with a Birmingham-based organization to identify an Interim Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to own budgeting, forecasting, and financial analytics during a critical phase.
What You’ll Do- Take ownership of company-wide budgeting and rolling forecasts
- Build and refine multi-location financial models and P&L rollups
- Deliver monthly reporting, variance analysis, and executive insights
- Partner with operations and leadership to improve budgeting discipline
- Enhance analytics, dashboards, and KPIs (Power BI exposure a plus)
- Identify and implement process improvements and standardization
- 5+ years of FP&A or financial analysis experience
- CPA, CFA, or MBA a plus, not required
- Strong understanding of P&Ls and multi-entity/multi-location reporting
- Advanced Excel skills (modeling, scenarios, pivots, lookups)
- Power BI experience or strong interest in developing it preferred
- High-visibility interim project with executive exposure
- Opportunity to “own” FP&A and improve processes immediately
