Financial Analyst (Full-Time, On-Site)

Location: Birmingham, AL

Our client is seeking a Financial Analyst to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for a complex organization with multiple departments and projects. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys working with real data, understanding cost drivers, and clearly explaining financial results to non-finance leaders.

• Support annual budget development and ongoing forecasting for departments and projects
• Prepare monthly budget vs. actual variance analyses and identify key drivers
• Analyze cost projections and financial trends to support planning and decision-making
• Consolidate financial information for management reporting
• Partner with managers to answer questions, explain results, and provide financial guidance
• Ensure financial activity aligns with internal controls and accounting policies
• Participate in special projects requiring data gathering, analysis, and clear communication

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1–4 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or budgeting roles
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets
• Ability to explain financial results in plain language
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Comfortable asking questions, digging into variances, and following items through to completion
