FY26 Seasonal Tax-FSO- GCR Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory-Real Estate-Senior Manager
Location:
New York or Remote – Seasonal Tax Senior Manager, Real Estate. EY serves high-profile, national and multinational clients, providing a range of domestic and international transactional tax planning services and tax-related advisory services. The TARAS practice assists with all aspects of financial reporting for income taxes including tax accounting, tax provision procedures, and controls design and testing.

Responsibilities- Provide tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning (internal restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions, carve-out financial statements, GAAP conversions between US GAAP and IFRS, share-based compensation, financial statement restatements and balance sheet remediation of tax accounts).
- Assist companies with all aspects of the preparation of the tax provision.
- Review the tax provision process to improve efficiency and accuracy and enhance the control environment; assess tax risk and control environments beyond SOX 404.
- Tax Accounting Projects and Consulting
- Real Estate experience a plus
- Tax Provision Preparation/Review and related processes
- Process and Controls Enhancement
- Key Risks Identification, Prioritization, Monitoring and Remediation
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM preferred
- Valid US CPA license or active state bar membership
- Minimum 10 years of work experience in professional services, tax organization, law firm, or IRS
- Broad understanding and experience with federal income taxation
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and detail-oriented skills
- ASC 740, Real Estate, and/or IAS 12 experience; corporate tax planning and compliance experience
- Broad exposure to federal income taxation
Candidates with strong tax and tax accounting knowledge, ability to work with and motivate others, capacity to manage large engagements, and to build meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues.
