Position SummaryThe Cost Control Analyst is responsible for monitoring project budgets, analyzing financial data, and providing cost reports to ensure financial efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost control, financial forecasting, and data analysis within the construction industry.
LocationsThis position is located in Birmingham, AL or Chester, VA.

Responsibilities- Develop, track, and analyze project budgets, costs, and expenditures.
- Prepare cost estimates and forecasts to support project planning and financial decision-making.
- Monitor project expenses for budget alignment and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate financial tracking.
- Review invoices for accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct variance analysis and report discrepancies.
- Assist in developing cost control policies and procedures.
- Provide financial reports and dashboards to management.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and policies.
- Use cost management software to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost management software (e.g., Procore, SAP).
- Knowledge of construction project accounting and financial principles.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Construction Management, or related field.
- 3+ years of cost analysis or financial planning experience in construction.
- Office environment with standard equipment.
- Valid Driver’s License; certification like CCP is a plus.
- Experience with large-scale construction projects and contract administration.
This role is primarily office-based with minimal travel requirements.
