As a Civil Engineer at Atwell, your role will be dynamic and multifaceted, including the opportunity to become a subject matter expert in residential, commercial, and/or industrial land development!
What you’ll do:- Site Plan Excellence: Draft preliminary and final site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, ensuring precision and adherence to industry standards.
- Data Analysis: Dive into project survey data to assess existing site conditions, considering various factors, including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.
- Comprehensive Reporting: Prepare a variety of reports, opinions, and recommendations crucial for project direction, including hydrology/hydraulic studies, due diligence/site analysis, cost estimates, schedules, utility and storm sewer computations, permit applications, soils and earthwork volume calculations, Storm
CAD and Water
CAD reports, and preliminary grading. - Construction Support: Offer construction‑related services such as permit applications, cut sheets, quantity estimates, and transmittals. Organize site and construction documents under guidance of senior staff.
- Engineering Software Mastery: Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software packages efficiently and consistently with set standards.
- Effective Communication: Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, collaborating with staff for seamless coordination.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- 2+ years of experience.
- PE strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Water
CAD, Storm
CAD, and Sewer
CAD preferred.
