Senior Construction Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex capital projects within construction and/or manufacturing environments. Based in Birmingham, Alabama, this role will oversee projects from concept through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, proven leadership in cross-functional project environments, and a solid foundation in engineering principles.

• Lead full lifecycle project management activities including planning, design coordination, procurement, construction/manufacturing execution, commissioning, and closeout.
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Ensure adherence to scope, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Identify and mitigate risks to maintain project timelines and financial performance.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal leadership, contractors, vendors, and clients.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, procurement, and quality.
• Lead project meetings, provide status updates, and deliver executive-level reporting.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
• Review and negotiate contracts, change orders, and vendor agreements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
• Implement best practices in project management methodologies.
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, cost savings, and performance outcomes.

• 8+ years of project management experience in construction or manufacturing environments (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, Electrical, or related discipline required).
• Proven experience managing large-scale capital or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction/manufacturing workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certification.
• Experience managing multi-million-dollar capital projects.
• Background in industrial facilities, heavy manufacturing, or large commercial construction projects.
• Knowledge of OSHA and safety compliance standards.
