A highly responsive civil consulting firm is seeking a Civil Drafter/Designer to join their close-knit engineering team.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of residential and commercial projects, including multi-family developments, institutional campuses, and small to medium commercial sites.
If you're someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and prefers the agility of a smaller firm over the bureaucracy of a large corporation, this could be the perfect fit.
Responsibilities
- Produce 2D CAD drawings (plans, profiles, sections, details) for contract documents
- Develop 3D CAD models and renderings to visualize complex features and structures
- Maintain drawing files and digital assets in accordance with internal standards
- Create graphics for engineering reports, presentations, and professional papers
- Train technical staff on drafting standards and procedures
- Support administrative tasks and office operations as needed
- Associate's degree preferred (experience may substitute for education)
- 2+ years of experience in civil drafting/design, especially in residential land development
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Strong understanding of land development processes from concept to construction
- Hands-on experience with:
- Site layout and grading
- Storm drainage and utility design
- Erosion control and road networks
- Permit submittals and reviews
- Field inspections and investigations
