Job Description # Structural Designer
* Minimum
** 5 years of experience
** performing site walkdowns and writing technical reports.
* Experience designing or detailing
** concrete and steel structures
** in heavy industrial or power generation settings is a plus.
* High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training (OSHA, MSHA, structural inspections) preferred.
* Proficiency in writing technical reports in Microsoft Word and maintaining findings in databases.
* Experience with
** laser scanning techniques
** and registration workflows.
* Ability to inspect structures and material-handling equipment for
** damage, deterioration, serviceability, and safety compliance**.
* Technical proficiency in
** AutoCAD, Navisworks, Advance Steel, FARO SCENE (2023–2025)**, and Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to perform inspections at
** extreme heights
** or in man baskets (certified operators provided).
* Strong understanding of
** site safety requirements**, including PPE, fall protection, confined space procedures, and respirator use.
* Background in
** construction or fabrication
** preferred.
* Knowledge of
** structural design codes**, standards, and regulatory requirements.
