HDR is seeking a Project Manager to join one of the industry’s largest and fastest-growing TMT (Tech, Media and Telecom) building design practices. The role focuses on client development and the delivery of data center projects. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering data center and mission‑critical projects—from upfront planning and pre-design through detail design, construction support, and commissioning.

In addition to managing and delivering projects, the candidate should have the drive and charisma to develop and secure work from a global client base and to expand HDR’s reputation. They will manage multi-disciplinary design teams from concept to completion and collaborate with the Regional Building Engineering Services Business Group Managers and the global TMT client management team. Some travel to client sites or HDR offices is required.

There is also a recurring emphasis on project leadership across HDR’s TMT building engineering design practice, with similar responsibilities described in other parts of the description.

• Manage multi-disciplinary design teams from project conception to completion.
• Develop and secure new work from a global client base; expand HDR’s reputation in TMT markets.
• Coordinate with Regional Building Engineering Services Business Group Managers and the global TMT client management team.
• Travel to client sites or HDR offices as needed.

• Grow a collaborative team environment that promotes career development, high-quality construction documentation, client satisfaction, and mutual support.
• Coordinate the work of multi-discipline design teams.
• Mentor, organize, and facilitate staff growth.
• Coordinate workload to deliver documents on schedule; contribute to mission-critical staffing.

• Establish client relations and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings.
• Assist Marketing and Business Development in developing fee proposals and scope of work documents.
• Promote HDR through regular client interface.
• Collaborate on development strategies, new business prospects, and quality and production standards to meet goals.

• Ensure product deliverables meet quality standards.
• Lead project teams to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction.
• Control project quality, schedule, scope, and budget.
• Forecasting, invoicing, and contract management.
• Create essential proposal content including scope, schedule, and budget.
• Assist in interview preparation and presentations for HDR.
• Collaborate with local office leads, other business groups, technical directors, and marketing managers.
• Perform other duties as needed.
• Travel to job sites or HDR offices may be required with advance notice for coordination.

• Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in site programming, project planning, design, construction, and/or commissioning.
