We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager to lead strategic projects and build strong partnerships with key municipal clients in the Birmingham area.
As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll- Understand client organizations and processes, develop and maintain relationships at all levels, and position Jacobs as the consultant of choice.
- Leverage your leadership and people management skills to optimize team performance and deliver high‑quality technical solutions.
- Play a key role in business development activities, including client relationship building, project positioning, teaming strategies, proposal preparation, presentations, and contract negotiations.
- Contribute to shaping our Alabama Water Market Strategy, delivering innovative solutions while expanding and diversifying our client base.
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible project management experience with water/wastewater treatment and conveyance projects and municipal consulting.
- Professional Engineer (PE) required.
- Strong understanding of project delivery tools and metrics, with a proven history of leading teams to successfully meet client expectations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, self‑motivation, and team‑oriented work practices.
- Strong data analysis, technical problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Proven track record of developing and maintaining strong client relationships that lead to new and repeat work.
- Skilled in interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and leading diverse teams.
