$60,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year (based on experience).

Designed to support diverse civil and geotechnical projects including government buildings, roadways, parking lots, laboratory facilities, and more. Works under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member and must be comfortable working on the construction site with tools such as AutoCAD and slope stability analysis.

• Civil/site engineering and design for government buildings, test stands, recreational facilities, roadways, parking lots, laboratory facilities, etc.
• Perform boring layout for utility clearance, supervise drill rigs, classify soils, and log borings.
• Perform and supervise field exploration, including SPT sampling, rock coring, and pile testing.
• Assist in developing a variety of layouts, drawings, and designs.
• Work under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member.
• Maintain working knowledge of AutoCAD and slope stability analysis.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• 1‑3 years of experience with geotechnical engineering knowledge.
• 1‑3 years of experience preparing geotechnical engineering reports, including site investigations, soil analysis, and foundation recommendations.
• Experience and skill in application of CAD software, specifically Civil 3D and associated civil software packages, is highly desirable.
• At least 1 year of experience working on GDOT projects is preferred.
• Ability and willingness to assist designers, drafters, and other staff members where needed.
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external partners, including clients, subcontractors, and utility companies.
• Valid driver’s license; must be insurable.

• Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments.
• Ability to carry required instruments and equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
