Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on projects including state‑of‑the‑art industrial and commercial facilities. We’re looking for an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business.

$95,200.00 / yr – $ / yr

Any location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a JACOBS U.S. based office.

• Accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, gaining familiarity with client expectations, scope, budget and schedule.
• Provide on‑site assistance during startup, coordinating work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead.
• Design and optimize control systems for a variety of processes, working closely with architects, engineers and designers to deliver complete, world‑class solutions for new facilities.
• Develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document and model design information while ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards.
• Produce control‑system designs for a variety of processes and develop options and optimizations for all aspects of the process control, instrumentation and automation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Control Systems or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 6 years of experience working with Instrumentation and Control.
• Working knowledge of PLC, DCS and other controls applications.

• Engineer in Training (EIT).
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Forward‑thinking, eager to learn best practices and contribute with innovative ideas.
• Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Passion for buildings and construction.
• Experience mentoring junior professionals or leading small teams.
• Experience with Data Center design.
