DescriptionThe University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking an Entry-level Mechanical Engineer for UAB's Engineering and Innovative Technology Development (EITD) group. They will assist in the mechanical design, development, manufacture, maintenance, sustainment, and operational support of payload systems for space applications. Develop system-level documents and CAD drawings for complex engineering hardware and devices.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Assists in design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems.
- Support meetings, teleconferences, and travel as required by projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Performs simple and routine engineering design tasks with standard techniques.
- Assists more senior engineers in the preparation of plans, designs, computation methods and reports.

(Annual Salary Range: $57,940 - $94,150 )
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and one (1) year of related experience required (preferred discipline is Mechanical or Materials Engineering). Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

Reports to EITD Mechanical Engineering Section Lead.
