Part-Time Preschool and Early Elementary School Dance Instructor

Qualifications

• Extensive Dance Training
• Prior teaching experience (dance or educational)

• Must have a natural rapport with young children and communicate effectively with this age group
• Teaching Ballet, Tap, Creative Movement and Jazz for ages 2-7
• Applicants must submit a video of choreography and/or in-class instruction. Applicants who choose to submit a choreography video must also submit a personal video introducing yourself and detailing why you would be a good fit for the position.

Note: those without prior teaching experience must go through one year of our teacher training program before being hired as an instructor. Teacher trainees are paid.

The Pointe Dance Arts, metro-Birmingham’s largest studio, is seeking a Preschool and Early Elementary Dance Instructor for the  dance year (potential for Summer 2026 teaching hours).

Instructor should be highly self-motivated, innovative and eager with strong classroom management skills. Creativity is a MUST when teaching this age.

Instructor will be responsible for teaching ages 2-6 in Ballet, Tap, Creative Movement and Jazz.
