Full-time, 50% Remote
The Learning Innovation Specialist Teacher Fellow lead oversees the implementation, evaluation, and impact of the Ed Farm Teacher Fellowship program while fostering innovation to enhance teaching and learning outcomes. This role involves developing and implementing initiatives to enhance educator engagement and technology best practice adoption, as well as coordinating professional development opportunities for teachers and educational staff. Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing professional learning, modeling high-impact teaching and learning strategies, co-teaching teacher fellowship participants and providing ongoing support to the Ed Farm DoLP staff and fellowship participants in designated partnership regions.
ExpectationsThe day-to-day job responsibilities will fluctuate seasonally throughout the school year. Below is a list of the job responsibilities overall.
- Travel as needed to support 50% remote Learning Innovation Specialist positions.
- Standard availability Monday - Friday 8:00 - 5:00 PM CST with the flexibility to book outside of standard business hours based on customer needs
- Stable and solid internet connection and professional appearance on Zoom
- Represent the Department of Learning Programs (DoLP) and Ed Farm and acts as the liaison with regional leadership and with contract partners/clients in the service region
- Lead the implementation of the Teacher Fellowship and Student Fellowship program in a service region
- Work collaboratively with the DoLP team to ensure all committed contract SOW deliverables are met in the assigned service region
- Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with the DoLP team to evaluate, select, design, and implement technology-enhanced learning experiences addressing content standards and student technology/computer science standards.
- Co-design and co-teach Introduction to Innovation course at 10 middle schools assigned Ed Farm program region
- Provide instructional support and professional mentorship to Introduction to Innovation instructors at 10 middle schools in the Montgomery, AL region and 4 in the Birmingham, AL region
- Other duties that pertain to training and the trainer’s personal areas of strength
Goals/Outcomes:
- The goals outlined measure success on responsibilities and will only be applicable once the Learning Innovation Specialist has assumed responsibility for the items detailed below.
Ensure professional learning is aligned with program objectives.
Tasks Or Duties To Accomplish OutcomesRegularly review and adjust coaching content to align with the objectives of making Teacher Fellows Apple Teacher Certified, expert designers of challenge-based learning and supporting and training Student Fellow Lead teachers, etc.

Introduction to Innovation CourseEnsure delivery of student programming in a co-design and co-teach model aligned with program objectives.
Tasks Or Duties To Accomplish OutcomesMaintain course materials, activities and lead teacher support that is directly linked to the overarching goals of the program, ensuring consistency and relevance throughout the course.

Coaching Hours and EngagementProvide effective coaching to Teacher Fellows.

Conduct at least 8 coaching sessions per Teacher Fellow over the 12-month fellowship period, documented through session guidebook and feedback.

Management and CollaborationFoster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement among cohort participants, district staff, and community stakeholders.
Work with the Ed Farm team, district leaders, state , and other community stakeholders to support program goals and Ed Farm initiatives.

Policy Compliance and Accountability AlignmentEnsure compliance with local, state, and national education standards, regulations, and policies related to curriculum and assessment.
