Position: Graphic Arts Teacher Pool 2024-2025 SY

Join to apply for the Graphic Arts Teacher Pool  SY role at Alabama State Department of Education.

This position aims to facilitate student comprehension and application of concepts, skills, and behaviors that contribute to developing mature, capable, and responsible members of society.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate support for the school system's vision, goals, and priorities.
  • Provide a rigorous curriculum aligned with Alabama Department of Education (ALSDE) and Career & Technical Education (CTE) Course of Study.
  • Sponsor a Career Technical Education Student Organization (CTSO) and participate in at least one program-related competition per year.
  • Adhere to school system rules, administrative procedures, policies, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, counselors, and service providers in educational planning.
  • Assist in developing and implementing individual education and transition plans for students.
  • Engage in professional growth and demonstrate ethics and leadership.
  • Utilize current technology for instruction and management.
  • Analyze data, interpret laws, policies, and regulations related to the role.
  • Possess strong knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft Suite.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree or higher in Graphic Arts or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid Alabama Teacher's Certificate in the assigned career technical subject area.
  • Adobe Certified Associate Specialist in at least three areas:
    After Effects, Animate, Dreamweaver, Flash or Illustrator, InDesign or Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or ADDA Certified Digital Designer.
  • Meet ESSA federal and state requirements or be willing to do so within the designated timeframe.

Note:

Private sector experience with relevant training or certifications may be considered.
