Overview

Legacy Community Federal Credit Union is looking for the right candidate to join our team as the full time Member Service Associate
. Legacy serves members in the greater Birmingham area at ten branches and is the official credit union of the University of Alabama  aim to help members Craft their Legacy by providing products and services that meet their financial needs. We have supported the UAB and Birmingham community since 1955.

. We offer two retirement plans:
401(k) with discretionary match and a Cash Balance Defined Benefit Plan and Trust
. We also provide 12 paid holidays, 12 vacation days, and 10 sick days for our employees. This is a full-time position, with standard hours Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, and Friday from 8:30 am - 6:30 pm
.

In this Member Service Associate position, you will effectively assist our members with all financial transactions while delivering exceptional customer service. From basic cash handling to withdrawals, deposits, transfers, loan payments, and more, our members rely on you to perform these tasks with precision and care. You will also recommend and sell products and services and direct members to various departments for information and services that meet their individual needs and goals.

Additionally, you may perform miscellaneous tasks including typing, filing, computer input, and answering the telephone. If you can do these things and meet the following requirements, we would be happy to have you as part of our team!

  • Prior customer service experience
  • Experience handling money
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 month of related experience
