A growing organization in the commercial real estate industry is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join its finance team. This role reports to the Controller and is responsible for the day-to-day processing and administration of accounts payable activities, while supporting broader accounting and finance operations.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Process and administer accounts payable transactions
- Maintain vendor records, including onboarding and compliance documentation
- Collect and manage W-9s, Certificates of Insurance (COIs), and other vendor documentation
- Administer contract payments and related documentation
- Set up and maintain vendor accounts and ACH payment information
- Process intercompany payments and assist with weekly check runs
- Set up and manage utility accounts and process related billing
- Reconcile and process corporate credit card transactions
- Process and reconcile employee expense reimbursements
- Provide support for banking and treasury management activities
- Maintain accounting documentation and records within the accounting system
- Prepare journal entries as directed by accounting leadership
- Assist with month-end close activities
- Support the recording of charges, receipts, and other accounting entries
- Assist with 1099 preparation, business license tracking, and entity compliance tasks
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the Finance and Leadership teams
- 2+ years of accounts payable or accounting support experience preferred
- Experience working with accounting or ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
