Job Description

This is a full-time, onsite role for an Accounts Payable/Payroll Associate. The role is primarily responsible for processing weekly payroll and handling vendor invoices.

Specific duties of the payroll process include uploading of timesheets to the automated payroll processing system and complete payroll processing using in-house company software. Includes using EFTPS to remit federal payroll taxes and with holdings.

Specific duties of the accounts payable process include loading vendor invoices for approval, resolving vendor payment issues, and other tasks to fully coordinate invoices from receipt through payment.

• Extensive experience in Accounts Payable processing.
• Experience in payroll processing systems including payroll taxes
• Good computer skills including familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Experience or familiarity with any computer-based accounting and/or payroll system such as Quick Books, Timberline, Computer Ease or other. Company will train you in its system.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with this type of work. A degree in business or accounting is beneficial but not required. Willingness and some familiar experiences are required.

A leading heavy industrial contractor in business for over 30 years based in Alabama, is seeking experienced Staff Accounting and Payables personnel to join our team. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in accounts payable and payroll as well as general accounting knowledge.

Self-perform services include concrete and foundations, steel erection, equipment setting, equipment alignment, piping, and cranes and rigging.
