Class 2 Driver – Wirral

We are looking for Class 2 Refuse Drivers in Wirral to work with our client, who provide essential services and utilities to communities across Ireland and the United Kingdom.

Previous experience is beneficial but not essential as training will be given. (You must have your Class 2 licence though – please don’t apply if you haven’t got this).

• Competitive Salary: £14.08 to £19.72 /h (PAYE rate plus holiday pay).
• Performance Bonuses: 8p per bin collected per day (after full training).
• Additional timing bonus based on targets (£10 / £14 / £18 per day).

• Monday to Friday.
• Shift starts between 03:00 and 04:00.
• Finish times between 12:00 and 13:00.

• Driving and operating a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle.
• Collecting refuse from different local areas each day, assisting with route planning.
• Assisting with manual movement of domestic wheelie bins, providing excellent customer service and ensuring bins are left tidy and correctly repositioned.
• Working safely around pedestrians, traffic, and other road users.
• Completing daily checks and reporting any defects.
• Completing work to a high standard while following site safety procedures.

• You must have a Class 2 Driving Licence and at least 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• Must have a UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card.
• Client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but not DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements.
• Up to date with WTD regulations.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling; able to work independently.
• Reliable, punctual and safety conscious.
• UK resident, able to travel to and from site for shift; no visa assistance.
