Salary: OTE £50,000 – £65,000

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced CNC Turner – Programmer / Setter Operator or Setter Operator to join a precision engineering team specialising in aerospace components. You’ll be working on Nakamura multi-axis CNC lathes with Fanuc controls, producing high-quality, precision components to tight tolerances. The role involves setting, programming, and optimising speeds and feeds for a range of materials.

Key Responsibilities

Set, operate, and program multi-axis CNC turning machines (Nakamura)

Program and edit using Fanuc controls

Produce high-precision aerospace components to strict tolerances

Calculate and optimise speeds and feeds for different materials and cutting conditions

Maintain quality and accuracy throughout the machining process

Work collaboratively with the team to meet production schedules

Follow health, safety, and operational procedures at all times

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience as a CNC Turner – Programmer / Setter Operator or Setter Operator

Strong experience on Nakamura multi-axis lathes

Confident programming and editing on Fanuc controls

Experience machining aerospace components is a strong advantage

Strong understanding of precision measurement, tolerances, and quality standards

Ability to confidently calculate and apply speeds and feeds

Reliable team player with a proactive approach

OTE £50,000 – £65,000 depending on shift and experience
