WIP Operative – Bromborough Site
We have an exciting opportunity for a WIP Operative to join our team at the Bromborough site.
Shift Pattern- 5 out of 6 days
- 7:00 am to 15:30 pm
- Follow lean thinking principles and make suggestions for improvement so that better ways of doing jobs are identified and implemented.
- Have a shared responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of the BRC global Standard for Food.
- Carry out other duties site‑wide that may reasonably be requested to ensure the efficient running of the business.
- Always keep the working area clean and tidy so hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained.
- Report non‑standard conditions immediately to your supervisor to minimise waste.
- Ensure adherence to the quality manual and the company’s RAG attribute protocol.
- Unload all raw meat delivery vehicles, including temperature checks which must be recorded on the Arolink system.
- Organise own work activities.
- Carry out a range of tasks and activities and ensure all tasks are finished within permitted time frames.
- Check products and materials against required quality standards to ensure they meet specifications.
- Help solve problems and make suggestions for improvement so that better ways of doing jobs are identified and implemented.
- Accurately weigh, label and stock‑rotate all stock levels.
- Stock rotation: be responsible for the defrosting of product.
- Clean and tidy work areas so that hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained and undertake straightforward hygiene tasks.
- Report faults to the supervisor so they can be put right quickly to keep downtime to a minimum.
- Make sure stocks are scanned every day; report to manager/supervisor if stock needs any amendment.
- Sign into the fire register at the start of shift.
- All deliveries must be intaken on the same day; ensure all paperwork of deliveries is completed and scanned in QUOR on the same day.
- Overtime may be required to cover weekends if needed.
- All tasks should be performed following health and safety procedures.
- Understand requirements for food safety, quality and legality throughout the whole process and work to these standards.
- Responsible for daily production yields.
- Responsible for feeding five lines.
- Responsible for drip loss from the lines.
- Be a proactive self‑starter with strong interpersonal, prioritisation and communication skills.
- Have demonstrable experience of Health, Safety and Environmental issues.
- Be a team player.
- Have a positive attitude.
- Have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
