The Production Planner is responsible for creating and ensuring the tactical execution of the Master Production Schedule at Teledyne CML Composites, a fast‑growing manufacturer of composite parts for aerospace and defense. The role involves coordinating workflow plans, analysing operational performance, resolving supply and demand shortages, and developing forward‑looking capacity plans.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule.
- Confirm and create detailed workflow plans derived from the Master Schedule, including customer product streams by work centre/operation.
- Establish manufacturing lead times required to assemble components.
- Provide detailed reporting and analysis of operational performance against the Production Schedule.
- Compare planned vs actual data for all stakeholder and department KPIs.
- Identify and recommend improvements or adjustments.
- Collaborate with Operations, Purchasing and Inventory Control teams to address supply/demand shortages.
- Create forward‑looking capacity plans and conduct gap analysis.
- Advanced level qualification or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge and experience of ERP systems.
- Comfortable leading discussions and debates with peer groups and the planning team.
- Knowledge of scheduling and supply chain processes.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Excel for reporting.
