AboutThe Role
Days of Working: You will be working flexibly to meet business requirements, Monday – Friday 8am – 6pm, 40 hours per week.
OCS are recruiting for a Regional Operations Manager. The role is a regional role covering a number of operational buildings and requires travel between locations across the North of England. You will be managing the services of the Technical, Cleaning, Porterage, Accommodation, Reception, Helpdesk, Security and Waste Management Teams, as well as other ad hoc areas of this TFM service delivery as required by our Client.
Your responsibility will include the operational delivery team of 2 Managers and around 50 Operatives, across locations including Durham, Fyld, Hull, Birkenhead and Bristol.
The role includes ensuring a high presence in the day-to-day running of the sites, including the provision of a consistently strong link with the customer, guaranteeing appropriate and responsive reaction to address all client requests. This is an active and visible role requiring excellent customer relationships and supplier management skills. Working as part of a team within the business, as Regional Operations Manager you will be expected to positively contribute to the performance of the business by engaging in a culture of first‑class customer care in a highly corporate environment.
MainResponsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of around 50 employees to deliver high‑quality IFM/TFM services across the Southern regional hub.
- Drive service delivery performance, ensuring SLA compliance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary client contact: build strong relationships, lead operational performance meetings, and ensure client retention.
- Oversee reporting, contract administration, and KPI tracking to support effective contract management.
- Maintain account development plans and support change management initiatives.
- Provide subject matter expertise on IFM service delivery and contribute to divisional strategy aligned with client needs.
- Implement business and process improvements across all service lines.
- Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and professionalism in all engagements.
- Extensive experience managing TFM/IFM operations and leading large teams in a corporate environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a proven record of developing high‑performance teams.
- Skilled in KPI management, operational reporting, and driving service excellence.
- Financial acumen, including budgeting, P&L oversight, and cost control.
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety (NEBOSH preferred) and a commitment to integrity.
- Exceptional planning, organisational, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Professional client‑facing presence and ability to build positive stakeholder relationships.
- Ongoing commitment to professional development within your specialism.
