Birkenhead, Wirral
£50,000–£60,000 DOE | Ready for Ofsted | Growth-backed provider
3-bed solo provision near Rock Ferry station – new home on a path to welcome its first child.
This is the first of several homes planned by a provider with lived and professional experience – backed by clear values and a commitment to sustainable growth.
About the Provider:
Led by a team with backgrounds in social housing, social work, and parenting children with complex needs, this provider offers a therapeutic, child-led model shaped by real-world insight. They’ve secured RI approval, built a calm, end-of-terrace setting, and now need a Registered Manager to lead the home into its next chapter.
About the Role:
You’ll be joining at a pivotal moment – with the home ready to open and a leadership team committed to long-term development.
• Shaping care from the outset in a solo, therapeutic provision

• Recruiting and developing a small, child-focused team
• Embedding trauma-informed approaches from day one
• Overseeing quality, planning and day-to-day operations with clear support
What Makes This Opportunity Different:
• You’ll be supported, not left to carry the home alone
• Directors bring both lived experience and sector knowledge
• Flexibility is built in – they understand family life and its demands
• This is not a one-off – they are committed to sustainable, ethical growth
• You’ll shape the home with clear values and strong foundations
About You:
Experience &
Qualifications:
• Level 3 or above in residential childcare (Level 5 desirable or willing to complete)
• Experience in children’s residential care – Deputy or RM level
• Confident with Ofsted regs and leading a team
Personal Qualities:
• Calm, reflective and values-led
• Emotionally resilient with a therapeutic mindset
• Ready to build something lasting – not just compliant
Why Join:
• Shape a new home with strong backing
• Work alongside experienced, values-driven directors
• Pathway to RI or area roles as the group expands
• Supportive culture with wellbeing and retention at its core
