Deputy Manager - Young People - With Full UK Manual Licence
Location:
Bromborough, Wirral
You will need to be a driver with a manual licence to be able to drive the service car and have access to a car to travel to sites within the Care in Mind portfolio.
Salary: £33,091.50 - £37,498.50 per annum dependent on experience and qualifications
Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours per week

The young people we care for often require a high level of support to assist with difficulties they may have from self-harming, behaviour, and emotional difficulties. At Care in Mind our homes are always a hub of activity and energy where the young people can feel safe, and our staff enjoy coming to work. As a Deputy Manager your role will involve working alongside and being supported by a multi-disciplinary team including Nurses, Psychologists and Psychiatrists. You will support the Registered Manager, helping plan rota's for the staff, conducting monthly supervisions, and assisting the team with their learning and development ensuring all the relevant training and inductions are completed.
Location details: Southfield House is a 7-bedroom luxury home located in Bromborough, Wirral, Merseyside. The home is well-connected by public transport with nearby Bromborough Train Station and local bus services. The area offers amenities and green spaces, including Bromborough Village and Wirral Country Park.
Main Duties:
You will work shifts over a 37.5 hour working week. The shift patterns are variable depending on the needs of the service with 2 days per week office based to support the management of the home. Care hour shifts consist of E arly s, Lates and occasional sleep ins & nights when required with rota planning in advance, so flexibility is required.
The job is a highly rewarding opportunity for an experienced Senior Support Worker to develop their career, or an existing Deputy Manager who wishes to develop their skills further in mental health.
Person Specification Qualifications- Must hold a Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
- Experience in working within residential services
- Minimum of 12 months supervisory management experience
- Excellent understanding of mental health and the issues young people face
- Good understanding of Health and Social Care
- Full clean driving licence and access to a car for work purposes
- Ability to manage budgets
- Skills in recruitment, selection and retention of staff
- Experience in conducting disciplinary investigations and fact finds
- Experience with working with Quality Care Commission (CQC) or Ofsted registered services
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lead and manage a staff team to achieve high standards for the service, staff and young people
- Ability to work collaboratively with a wider multi-disciplinary team
