Location: Bromborough
Mental Health Support Worker – Young People
Bromborough, Wirral
Salary: £24,570 – £25,662 (depending on experience, pro rata for part‑time hours)
Hours:
Full Time 37.5 hours per week OR Part Time 25 hours per week
- Flexibility – work shifts including weekends and bank holidays
- Attend training throughout employment, held on weekdays
- Good written skills – write basic reports and record information accurately
- Basic IT skills – some computer work, completing forms, using an online care system, writing emails
- Good verbal communication skills and the ability to listen to others
- Maintain a professional working boundary
- Remain calm in emergencies, support others during difficult situations
- NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent in Care
- Previous experience of working with young people who have mental health need
- Full UK driving licence – manual not automatic
- Minimum 30 days holiday

Your role will involve working with young people to promote independence through support with education, household tasks and general life skills. You will also update online care records, complete medication administration and ensure the home environment is tidy and homely.
Previous care experience is not essential, and full training will be provided. Ongoing support and mentoring from the residential and clinical team will be provided.
