We have an exciting opportunity on Brooklands Ward Wirral PICU, for a Clinical Ward Manager who has the ability to provide management and clinical leadership to the multi-disciplinary team. Brooklands Ward is an adult acute ward based in Springview.
The ideal candidate will support the team to deliver person centred care in collaboration with service users, carers and families, external partners and agencies.
To have overall operational management and clinical responsibility for the delivery of safe, compassionate care within the unit, in accordance with Trust policy and procedures.
There is scope for development within the role.

Main duties of the jobProvide line management and clinical leadership to the nursing and MDT. To ensure person centred care is delivered and meets standards for Quality and Safety in partnership with service users and carers. To have overall management and clinical responsibility for the delivery of safe, compassionate care within the unit, in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
To lead a team of staff in the delivery of high‑quality evidence‑based practice, ensuring that regular supervision and appraisal takes place.
To ensure systems are in place to manage administrative and operational resources in a cost‑effective manner, evaluating the standard of service delivered.
To co‑ordinate multidisciplinary working, maintaining excellent communication and working relationships with all team members, and the wider unit to ensure effective interface and continuity of care between disciplines and services.
The post holder will carry out nursing procedures to a standard that ensures safe and effective care and complies with the NMC Code of Conduct.
This post is responsible and accountable for the management of clinical care on the ward, and the post holder will be supported to ensure the 6C's underpin the practice and delivery of care on the ward.
