Financial Controller

An opportunity to join a growing business based in the Wirral that is looking for a Financial Controller to oversee the day-to-day accounting for the site. Working closely with the Finance Director, you will have a broad range of duties and this role is ideally suited to an experienced, qualified accountant who can demonstrate experience in leading a team and driving excellence.

• Staff management of 4, responsible for all control accounts
• Production of site management accounts & cash flow forecasts
• Produce weekly variance reports with an emphasis on labour & materials
• P&L management, reporting to the Finance Director and Ops Managers
• Act as point of contact for queries internally, provide business partnering to relevant senior leadership
• Ownership of UK balance sheet
• Authorising all payments and escalation point for suppliers
• Strict cash management, updating cash flow forecasts

• CIMA/ACA/ACCA Qualified
• Previous staff management
• Strong cash management background
• Previous experience in a costing environment preferred but not essential
