Desian Education is proud to be working in partnership with a Wirral primary school to recruit a compassionate and dedicated SEND EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their specialist EYFS SEND Hub.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young learners with additional needs, helping them thrive at the earliest stages of their educational journey.
This is a full-time role supporting Monday to Friday 8.30am-3.30pm.
About the Role
You will be working within a purpose-built EYFS SEND hub, supporting children with a range of special educational needs including ASD, communication difficulties, and developmental delay. Your role will include:
- Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support
- Implementing individual learning and behaviour plans
- Promoting communication, language development, and play
- Supporting with personal care where required
- Collaborating with the class teacher, SENDCo, and wider team
- Creating a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive environment
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Patient, caring, and resilient
- Experienced (or confident) in supporting children with SEND, particularly in EYFS
- Knowledgeable about early years development and EYFS curriculum
- A team player with excellent communication skills
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil well-being
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) are desirable, and experience working with children with SEND is essential.
