Prospero Teaching are recruiting a confident and passionate KS4 Humanities Teacher to support secondary schools across the Wirral from February. This role is suitable for specialists in History, Geography, RE or related humanities subjects, supporting pupils as they prepare for GCSE examinations.
This is an excellent opportunity for humanities teachers who enjoy engaging students in discussion, critical thinking and analytical skills while delivering high-quality subject content.
The roleAs a KS4 Humanities Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons within your subject specialism, supporting pupils' academic progress and exam readiness. You'll work closely with department colleagues and pastoral teams to maintain high standards of teaching, behaviour and pupil engagement.
Responsibilities- Planning and delivering high-quality Humanities across KS4
- Teaching GCSE History, Geography, RE or related subjects
- Supporting pupils with exam preparation and assessment
- Tracking, assessing and reporting on pupil progress
- Creating a positive, focused and inclusive classroom environment
- Managing behaviour in line with school policies
- Working collaboratively with humanities departments and support staff
- Supportive and established humanities departments
- Clear behaviour systems and strong pastoral support
- Well-resourced classrooms and specialist facilities
- Schools located across Birkenhead, Wallasey, Heswall and wider Wirral areas
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
- Experience teaching Humanities at KS4
- Confident, enthusiastic and able to motivate learners
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Reliable, proactive and committed to high standards
- Good understanding of safeguarding secondary school policies
