Prospero Teaching are recruiting Teaching Assistants to work across a range of schools and education settings throughout the Wirral, starting from February. These roles are ideal for individuals with experience working with children or vulnerable adults who want consistent, long-term work in supportive school environments close to home.
The roleAs a Teaching Assistant, you may be placed in primary, secondary or specialist settings depending on your experience and preferences. You will support pupils in the classroom, assist teaching staff with lessons and routines,inder and provide small‑group or 1:1 support where required. Schools are looking for reliable, caring and proactive individuals who can build positive relationships and support pupils' learning and well-being.
Responsibilities- Supporting pupils across a range of ages and ability levels
- Assisting teachers with lessons, activities and classroom routines
- Delivering small-group interventions and targeted support
- Providing 1:1 guidance to pupils who need additional help
- Promoting positive behaviour and classroom engagement
- Helping pupils stay focused, confident and motivated
- Contributing to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Roles available across multiple Wirral schools
- Supportive staff teams and clear behaviour policies
- Well-resourced classrooms and learning environments
- Easily accessible from Birkenhead, Wallasey, Heswall, Bebington and surrounding areas
- Presented with experience working with children or vulnerable adults (essential)
- Confident, patient and able to build strong relationships
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, enthusiastic and committed to education
- Understanding of safeguarding and school policies
