SEND Teacher (KS3) - PRU – Leasowe, Wirral

Are you a dedicated SEND Teacher who thrives on making a real difference for young people with additional needs? We are working in partnership with a specialist non‑curriculum PRU in Leasowe to recruit an inspiring teacher for a KS3 provision supporting pupils with complex needs. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to support pupils for whom mainstream education has not been successful and who require a highly personalised, nurturing approach to learning.

• Key Stage: KS3
• Class sizes:
  Up to 6 pupils (some with 1:1 support)
• Whole site:
  Approximately 16 pupils
• Curriculum focus:
  Personal development, engagement, and non-traditional learning

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
• Develop strong, trusting relationships with pupils
• Support emotional regulation, independence, and social development
• Implement effective behaviour strategies using a positive, trauma-informed approach
• Work collaboratively with support staff, families, and external professionals

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience working in a SEND, PRU, or behaviour-focused setting
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• A resilient, calm, and empathetic teaching approach
