Level 2 Teaching Assistant

Location:

Primary School, Birkenhead, Wirral (Merseyside, UK)

Hours:

36 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Salary: £90-110 (dependent on experience) with potential to increase to scale

Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant?

• Support the classroom teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning across KS1 and KS2
• Work with individuals and small groups to promote progress and attainment
• Provide additional support to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement in line with school ethos

This role is ideal for someone who has experience working with children in a school or similar setting, is committed to inclusive practice, and enjoys contributing to a nurturing and collaborative learning environment.

• Experience supporting teaching and learning across primary age groups
• A proactive, patient, and adaptable approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A passion for supporting children's academic and personal development
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) - safeguarding children is paramount
