Duties:

  • Helping KS3 and KS4 students understand and finish their classwork.
  • Working 1-on-1 with students to help them hit their GCSE goals.
  • Leading small groups to make English and Maths easier to understand.
  • Helping the teacher keep the classroom calm and well-behaved.
  • Making sure all students stay safe and follow school rules.
  • Helping KS4 students get organized for their exams and revision.
  • Keeping a simple record of how students are doing for the teacher.

Skills &

Qualifications:

  • A University Degree OR a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is highly valued.
  • A friendly and patient personality so you can support students who find school hard.
  • Clear communication skills so you can talk to teenagers and other staff members easily.
  • The ability to stay calm and helpful even when the classroom gets busy.
  • A real interest in education and helping young people reach their goals.
