We are looking for an exceptional Breast Radiologist Consultant to come and join us at the Wirral Breast unit.
The successful candidate will join our team of Breast Radiologists, Consultant Radiographer, Advanced Practitioners and Mammographers to support the delivery of both the screening and symptomatic breast service. Contribution to general cross sectional reporting and on call rota are also required.
Main duties of the jobDaily roles and responsibilities for this post involve all aspects of screening and symptomatic breast imaging work including Mammography, Ultrasound and MRI.
The post holder is required to be an enthusiastic team player, participate in audit and quality improvement activity to drive the service forward.

Person Specification Qualifications- Eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and hold a current licence to practice.
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Is up to date and fit to practise safely
- Should have completed training in radiology within a recognised training programme
- Higher level subspecialty training
- Evidence of continuous career progression consistent with personal circumstances. Demonstrable competencies in general radiology across Radiography/Ultrasound/CT and MRI.
- Demonstrate evidence of higher level training in Breast Radiology
- Evidence of the ability to carry out quality improvement work and/or medical research.
- All applicants to have demonstrable skills in written and spoken English adequate to enable effective communication of medical topics with patients and colleagues.
- Experience in training undergraduate medical students and postgraduate doctors.
- Previous attendance on Appraisal Techniques and Small Group Teaching Workshops
- Experience of participation in regular clinical audit
- Understanding of current issues in the NHS
- Attendance at recognised management course
